Terms of Service
Last updated:
Who can use the service
You must be at least 13 years old to use MathPath on your own. Younger students may use it only through a school that has provisioned their account. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission and involvement of a parent, guardian, or school, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. By using MathPath, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
When you use MathPath, you agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Harass, abuse, or harm others, or post hateful, threatening, or inappropriate content.
- Disrupt, overload, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Scrape, copy, or harvest content or data at scale, or use automated means except as we expressly allow.
- Misrepresent who you are, or use the service to cheat in a way that violates the rules of a school, exam, or institution.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except where the law permits.
We may suspend or remove access if we reasonably believe these terms are being violated.
Your content and contributions
MathPath lets you submit content such as questions, solution methods, comments, votes, tutor chats, and feedback. You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting content, you grant LearnHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, and use it to operate, improve, and promote the service, including sharing community contributions with other learners.
You are responsible for what you submit and confirm you have the right to share it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you are not allowed to share. We may review, moderate, or remove content that violates these terms.
Marketplace and shared teaching materials
Teachers can publish teaching materials — such as class templates and quiz blueprints — and add materials that others have shared to their own library. In the current version this exchange is free of charge; there are no paid listings, fees, or payouts.
- If you publish, you confirm you have the right to share the material and you grant other users a license to use the copy they add to their library. Published materials are immutable snapshots.
- Shared materials are provided as is by their author, not endorsed or verified by us. Review anything you add before using it with students.
- We may remove a listing that violates these terms or another's rights. This section is a starting point; if paid features are ever added, additional marketplace and payment terms will apply and be presented before any charge.
AI features and educational use
MathPath uses AI to generate explanations, hints, tutor responses, and audio. These responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are a learning aid, not professional, financial, medical, legal, or other expert advice. Use your own judgment and verify important information. MathPath is a tool to help you learn; we do not guarantee any particular result, grade, exam score, or admission outcome.
Our intellectual property
The MathPath platform — its software, design, branding, curriculum, and the content we provide (excluding your content and third-party content) — belongs to LearnHub and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning. You may not copy, sell, or redistribute the service or its content except as these terms allow.
Fees and changes to the service
MathPath is free to start. We may add paid features in the future, and if we do, we will make the terms and pricing clear before you are charged. We may also add, change, or discontinue features at any time as the product evolves.
Termination
You may stop using MathPath at any time and can delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if needed to protect the service or other users, or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses already granted, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content or AI output will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LearnHub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LearnHub harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
Governing law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, with disputes subject to the courts located in Maryland unless applicable law requires otherwise. (Placeholder — the governing jurisdiction and any dispute-resolution or arbitration terms must be confirmed by counsel before these terms are binding.)
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of MathPathafter an update means you accept the revised terms.
