Accessibility statement

MathPath should work for every learner, including those who use assistive technology. This statement describes where we stand today, honestly, including the parts that are still in progress.

Last reviewed: 6 July 2026

Conformance target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the core learning experience. We have not completed a full third-party audit yet, so this is a target we actively work toward rather than a certified claim. A self-assessment is underway and this statement is updated as we close gaps.

What works well today

Several accessibility features are already built in and shipping:

  • Every formula carries a hidden MathML copy alongside the visual math, so screen readers speak it as real mathematics instead of skipping it.
  • Lessons can be read aloud with built-in text-to-speech narration.
  • A high-contrast mode and adjustable text size (Default, Large, XL) are available in settings.
  • A reduced-motion setting turns off decorative animation, and the app also respects your operating system's reduce-motion preference.
  • Light, dark, and automatic themes.
  • The core learner loop is operable by keyboard, and we lint every build for common accessibility mistakes.

Known limitations

We want to be upfront about the parts that are not fully there yet:

  • Some interactive widgets (graphing and geometry explorables such as Mafs and Desmos) have only partial keyboard and screen-reader support.
  • A complete, independent WCAG 2.1 AA audit and a formal VPAT or ACR are still in progress.
  • A few third-party embeds follow their own accessibility support, which we do not control.

Requesting an accessible alternative

If any part of the app is a barrier, tell us what you were trying to do and we will provide an accessible equivalent, such as a described or text version of an interactive. Email admin@learnhub.com.

Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the app. Please include the page, what you expected, and the assistive technology you use, and we will use it to prioritize fixes.
